### Introduction to Blackjack

Blackjack is one of the most popular card games in casinos. The game is played between the player and the dealer (representing the casino), and the objective for the player is to have a higher total card value than the dealer or to make the dealer go over 21 points. The appeal of Blackjack lies in its simple rules and the fact that strategy and skill significantly influence the outcome.

### Basic Rules of Blackjack

1. **Card Values**:

   - Number cards are worth their face value (2 to 10).

   - Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are worth 10.

   - Aces can be worth 1 or 11, whichever is more advantageous for the player.

2. **Gameplay**:

   - Each player and the dealer are dealt two cards initially. Players' cards are usually dealt face up, while the dealer has one face up and one face down (the hole card).

   - Players decide whether to 'Hit' (take another card) or 'Stand' (keep their current total) to get as close to 21 as possible without going over.

   - If a player's total exceeds 21, they 'bust' and automatically lose the round.

3. **Dealer's Play**:

   - After all players have made their decisions, the dealer reveals their hole card.

   - The dealer must hit until their total is 17 or higher and must stand once it is 17 or more.

4. **Winning Conditions**:

   - A player wins if their total is higher than the dealer's, or if the dealer busts.

   - If a player busts by going over 21, they lose the round.

   - If the player and dealer have the same total, it's a 'push,' and the bet is returned.

5. **Blackjack**:

   - Getting 21 with the first two cards (an Ace and a 10-point card) is called a 'Blackjack.' This is typically treated as a higher win than other 21-point hands.

Blackjack is a simple yet deep game, where strategy and luck combine to create a unique appeal.
